CFANS experts in the University of Minnesota delegation at COP28 UN Climate Change Conference
CFANS is represented in the University of Minnesota delegation at the 28th United Nations Conference of the Parties (COP28) by Eduardo Garay Lagos, PhD candidate in Land and Atmospheric Sciences; Suman Lata, graduate student in Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering; and Renzo Negrini, graduate student in Land and Atmospheric Sciences.
They will be among the 70,000 negotiators and observers expected in Dubai, United Arab Emirates from November 30 to December 12, 2023. COP is the formal meeting and decision-making forum of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to assess global progress on climate change and negotiate solutions to the defining environmental and social challenge of our time.
